Officers were called to the 100 block of Furrow Street to investigate a report for an unresponsive person around 12:15 p.m.
A 41-year-old man was found with life-threatening gunshot wounds and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The Medical Examiner's Office was notified and took possession of the body.
The investigation is being led by Southwest District Homicide Detectives. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 410-396-2100 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7Lockup.
